The other day I was thinking about returning to Final Fantasy XIV — I seem to do this on an annual basis, for some reason — and before I subbed, I went back to read some notes about why I left last time. Apparently I was quite put off on the main storyline and how it never seemed to vibe with me. Which is OK, not all games can be all things to all players, but it’s the reason I unsubscribed.
I figure we all have stories to share about why we decided to make a break with a former MMORPG, whether it’s a permanent departure or a “for now” break. What was the reason you quit your last MMO, and are you ever going back to it?
