If the absolute best part of any PvP experience is taking part of the chaos and struggle of castle sieges, then keep an eye on an upcoming title called Warlander. Developed by Toylogic (of NieR:Replicant fame), this online PvP title (it’s flagged as an MMO on Steam) seems to revolve around delivering skirmishes and sieges with up to 100 players at the same time.
Oh, and there are robots because of course there are.
The studio said that this one isn’t an easy game to pigeon-hole: “Across its two army battle and five army battle game modes, Warlander combines the tactical team-fighting of a modern-day MOBA, the knock-out style gameplay of a battle royale, a smooth blend of third-person hack-and-slash and ranged combat, and a touch of 4X-inspired strategic diplomacy.”
Warlander is scheduled to release on Steam this coming January 24th.
