If we can rip our eyes away from the still-veiled Riot MMORPG project, we might be surprised to learn that the studio has another game coming in the same Runeterra universe.
Polygon reports that a new title called Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story was leaked thanks to a South Korean ratings committee. Reportedly, Mageseeker is an action game that will revolve around one of League of Legends’ most infamous heroes, Sylas the Unshackled, and is being developed under Riot’s third-party publishing label. However, Riot Games has not confirmed this leak to be true as of yet.
According to the official League of Legends entry, Sylas has quite the underdog story: “Raised in one of Demacia’s lesser quarters, Sylas of Dregbourne has come to symbolize the darker side of the Great City. As a boy, his ability to root out hidden sorcery caught the attention of the notorious mageseekers, who eventually imprisoned him for turning those same powers against them. Having now broken free, Sylas lives as a hardened revolutionary, using the magic of those around him to destroy the kingdom he once served… and his band of outcast mage followers seems to grow by the day.”
