V Rising is once more electing to talk about but not talk about future updates as its latest dev blog pirouettes through teases and information in fairly equal measure. That said, unlike an earlier post that talked about its upcoming content plans, this one has a little more focused information to glean.

First off, Stunlock Studios confirms that the vampiric survivalbox’s next update will happen in 2024 and officially herald the end of early access. Once again this patch will focus on high-level and endgame activity by way of a new zone located beyond the Hallowed Mountains area, with the confirmation of a final boss fight, combat-focused endgame events that promise fresh trials against “a strangely familiar threat,” and a host of performance improvements for both low-end and high-end systems.

The post also hints at work on a final V Blood powerset, changes to the spell system, appearance updates, and “interesting possibilities regarding a few other much-asked-for additions” that look to add more complexity to undead life. Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait for an indeterminate length of time before more details are granted. “We’re currently cooking away at quite a few things that need some more time in the cauldron before they’re ready to be seen (or potentially locked away in the dungeon if they end up being awful),” Stunlock writes. “We work best with a little breathing room”
