It’s time for a holly jolly Maplemas in MapleStory, the side-scrolling MMO that likes to use the word “maple” as a prefix! Whatever you call it, the Christmas event that started last week is offering up festive housing decorations and an associated quest for players, as well as the ability to upgrade their Maplemas Hut to a three-story house. Talk about an upgrade.
Other seasonal good times will continue over the next several days, as this week begins a second Maplemas quest that asks players to kill monsters and gather Christmas tree baubles, while January 1st will start off a New Year’s quest line that awards gifts and a fancy chair for finding dragon eggs.
The most recent patch for MapleStory isn’t just about the holidays, as there are other content pieces for players to enjoy, such as some new boss battles, a quest to stop an attacking airship, and the ability to engage in abyssal expeditions complete with a reputation system and management of a team of mercenaries. There are also other ongoing events like Burning World leveling, a summer and winter island area, and identisk tasks.
