Even with controversy surrounding its use of AI voice acting, arena shooter The Finals is ending 2023 on a high note. Embark Studios announced that the free-to-play title just crossed its 10 million player mark in time for the holidays.
“We’re so humbled and excited by the response from the community so far — 10 million players this soon is something we never could have dreamed of,” said the devs. “We will continue to improve and add to the experience, and make sure we keep surprising our community for years to come.”
The Finals recently activated its first in-game event with a snowy Monaco map and free holiday-themed cosmetics. The team shooter went into open beta this past October.
