Multiplayer survival deceive-em-up Project Winter releases a free pass that grants limited access to the game

Is it a free demo? Yes, but it’s also a free pass for Project Winter, the multiplayer survival and deception title that fully released in 2019 and was found by our Fight or Kite columnist Sam to be a unique enough experience for sub-genre fans.

This free pass feature that released last week is for all intents and purposes a demo, letting players access two matches of every game type every day, as well as full access to the tutorial, all game mode types, matchmaking, and the ability to earn currency, all while being cross-play. The only other major restrictions besides number of matches are limited access to character progression and customization and no access to the store, drops, or login rewards.

Should players like their time in the deception-filled snow, they can carry over some of their social rank, currency, and progression status when they purchase the full game. If this one has been in your wishlist or outside of your radar, perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to try it out.
