While it’s certainly nowhere near as viral as another survival game in early access, Keen Games’ own multiplayer survivalbox Enshrouded hasn’t been a slouch in the player numbers department itself, as this week the studio celebrated over one million players over the past four days.
“We are completely blown away by its success and the overwhelmingly positive reception,” the studio writes in its announcement. “From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank all our players. We’re excited to let you know that this is just the beginning for Enshrouded.”
The post vowed to continue to work on its next update and improve the experience with its players, a refrain that was repeated in an earlier roundup post about the game’s first week in early access, where it directed fans to a feature upvote page, encouraged players to show off screenshots of their bases, and called attention to its five different bug-fixing patches so far as part of the studio’s continued effort to “kick some bug ass.” Do note that while the aforementioned patches address server stability and character data saves, multiplayer progression issues relating to experience, leveling, and spawning hasn’t yet been addressed.
We're excited to let you know that this is just the beginning for Enshrouded. We are looking forward to continuing the development of the game with your support, aiming to make Enshrouded the best game it can be. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone!
