MapleStory’s new patch brings strawberry farm activities, server UI tweaks, and Burning World character transfers

Usually when I think about strawberry farms, I think about the spring or summer seasons. That mental association isn’t going to stop MapleStory from opening up access to an in-game strawberry farm in February, which is the tentpole feature for the v.248 update.

The Strawberry Farm Festival that gives the patch its name will invite players under level 260 in to Spiegelette’s strawberry farm by turning in fertile soil drops from defeated monsters, after which they can get themselves some adorable strawberry-themed outfits and earn “massive” amounts of XP.

Other features for this patch include a reorganization of the game’s various server types – Interactive, Heroic, or Seasonal – in order to more clearly group them together right from the start. Speaking of server types, the patch will also allow Burning World characters to transfer to an Interactive world. Lastly, the code guessing game of Gold Richie’s safe is back, and the update promises a special collab soon.

The strawberry-flavored (and probably scented) fun will arrive sometime this week, but players can look over the update’s preview page or watch a preview video below the cut.
