Baldur’s Gate 3 is making companion management a bit easier with its upcoming Patch 6

bork?

It’s pretty clear that Baldur’s Gate 3 was a hit by any metric, and it is an uncontroversial opinion to say that the game is pretty good. But could it be better? The team at Larian clearly thinks so, which is why there’s a new patch coming out that offers more than just better smooching this week. For example, don’t you hate running all over the camp in order to tell Karlach to wait at camp, tell Halsin to come with you, have the one conversation you need to have with Halsin in your party, then repeat the whole thing in reverse? No more; now you can replace party members by talking to the person you want to have in your party, no muss, no fuss.

The patch is also more strongly biasing toward the player character and correcting some issues wherein somehow a party member gets to be the main person talking in a conversation scene when you wanted it to be your leader. Add in bug fixes like letting your passives correctly trigger saving throws, and the patch should be a welcome improvement when it drops this week. Unless you really liked Astarion stealing the spotlight even if you forced him to stand in a corner at the other end of the map.
