Old School RuneScape updates Barbarian training and applies final Forestry tweaks

Whether you’re chopping trees as part of leveling up the Forestry skill or following the multi-discipline path of Barbarian training, the most recent update to Old School RuneScape is mostly all about your interests. Although there are other general updates for those who aren’t foresters or barbarians-in-training.

The weekly update begins with Barbarian training, which has been reworked from its original separate activity into a miniquest instead. This means there’s now an overview of dialogue, reworked progression, and the promise of “a little added polish,” while those who have already completed the previous activity can take up a fourth lesson to learn the ways of Barbarian farming. Which probably involves raging at weeds.

The majority of the update (and the weekly post) is about Forestry updates, with new event spawn logic, updates to event XP earnings, and making some adjustments to the Twitcher’s Gloves item. Jagex points out that these updates aren’t “Forestry Part 3” and confirms that this effectively ends development of the activity beyond tweaks and tuning as needed.

The rest of the week’s notes point out additional updates to the Wilderness zone, updates for loot tracking and overlays for the mobile version, and a list of granular updates and bug fixes.
