WoW Classic Hardcore schedules self-found mode for Leap Day

Sunset on original ideas.

It’s not every year that you get a Leap Day, so why not make that bonus day a little extra special? WoW Classic is doing its best to jazz up February 29th by rolling out its “self-found mode” to the hardcore servers.

“While in this mode, players will be restricted from sending or receiving mail from other players, buying, or selling on the auction house, or trading in any way (including giving or receiving items or enchantments),” the studio explained.

This optional challenge makes permadeath runs to level 60 even tougher than before — which is kind of the whole point. Players can select self-found mode at level 1 pretty much just for bragging rights and another way to engage with this server.
