Marvel Rivals kicks off its closed alpha test on May 10

Oh, oh, oh, it's Magik.

Is there another faintly superheroic shooter you’re over so you want something new to watch? It definitely seems as if Marvel Rivals is hoping to fill that niche, and the game is happy to announce that hundreds of thousands of players have signed up to take part in the game’s first closed alpha test starting on May 10th. There are limited slots, so not everyone who signed up will get in, but players who pass certain milestones will get keys to invite friends to the game. So hopefully you have a good and driven friend if you’re not in the chosen lineup.

Players in the alpha will have access to five game modes: Tutorial, Quick Match, Pocket Universe, Competitive, or Custom (allowing you to set your own conditions for the match for specific friend groups). There’s also a 6v6 tournament that will be held during the alpha, with a $22,500 prize pool for players who take the top spot. So it sounds like there will definitely be quite a lot going on when the game arrives for its first public testing on May 10th.
