Indie sandbox MMO Wild Terra 2 is free-to-play all weekend following latest content update

It’s been ages since we heard anything about indie MMO Wild Terra 2, but a timely press release – and a mention on MMO Fallout – has brought it back to our attention. Juvty Worlds announced that the 2022 sandbox MMO is running a free-play weekend starting today at 1 p.m. EDT and running through June 2nd; it’s on Steam, so it should be a one-click install and play.

And if you haven’t swung by in a while, you’ll find there’s some new content in store, as earlier this week the devs patched in what they’re calling a “major” update.

“In this update, we have added the ability to build shrines on the territory of your dominion. These shrines grant temporary effects with global bonuses. Pilgrimage access will be available to all players with permissions for production buildings (furnace icon in the town hall settings). We have also added research content, events, and new side quests to the starting island to showcase the game’s features at later stages of character development. Items from events for beginners will also be obtainable on the main continent through fishing, discoveries, corpses, and completing crypts. […] The newly developed mechanics will allow us to add events, points of interest, and puzzles in future game updates.”

April’s update was no slouch either, as it saw the addition of a brand-new island.
