While most fans are arguably casting their eyes in the direction of the next mainline RPG in the series, things in the mobile ARG game Monster Hunter Now don’t look to be slowing down, as the title has taken the wraps off of details for its first summer update this year, which is set to arrive on Thursday, June 13th.
One of the big ticket features of this next content update is the addition of the elder dragon Kushala Daora, which can be fought in the elder dragon interception feature, along with other large monsters Khezu and Basarios that will spawn in the game map after completing Season 2 story quest chapters.
Speaking of Season 2, its arrival with the patch will mean several monsters will be taken off of the field, though they can be unlocked by completing story quest chapters. The season will also once more come with its own season pass, meaning any tier progress for Season 1 will end once Season 2 begins. More information is promised later.
Finally, the June 13th patch will introduce the iconic gunlance weapon to the game, complete with familiar skills like Wyvern’s Fire and Burstfire. The new weapon’s launch will be celebrated in a training quest event that awards resources and season pass points, on top of the Season 2 kickoff event that ramps up certain monsters spawns between June 13th and 24th and an upcoming collab event to mark the launch of the Monster Hunter Stories remaster release. Until then, there’s an ongoing Season 1 climax event happening until June 11th.
