A third round of alpha testing for the genre blended Corepunk kicks off this week, starting on Monday July 1st and running through Sunday, July 8th. This follows an aborted second test which, in the studio’s own words “did not go as planned.”

One of the big changes for Alpha 3 is a whole lot of additional voice work: “In this test, we focused on the narrative aspect and managed to do some voice work with actors. The pilot episode is now voiced, which includes 35 NPCs and 60 quests. We are very pleased with the result; the immersion in the world has become deeper and smoother, making the game more atmospheric.”

This build also changes how crafting procs happen, allows players to trade crafted items, expands the world map by 40%, adds 150 quests, and introduced a new version of the quest journal.

Looking ahead, the studio said, “In the future, the game will feature other types of zones with different sets of rules, such as Wildlands, Wastelands, Cursed lands, and many others. Some areas will require players to meet specific conditions to survive, some will require constantly replenishing depleting life resources, and more. Just like in the zones in the test, in other types of locations, players will encounter differences in game rules and loot.”
