Halo’s TV series is canned by Paramount+ but may live on elsewhere

The current adage that there’s no TV series on streaming that a platform won’t can after two seasons — even if it’s been successful — gets another example with the news that the Halo show is no more. Paramount+ announced that it’s canning the series following its second season, leaving fans of Master Chef sorrowful.

Wait, that’s a Gordon Ramsey series. I meant to say “Master Chief.” But both have helmets, so you can excuse my confusion.

In any case, there’s a glimmer of hope here, as the showrunners reportedly are shopping the show around to other networks and platforms in the hopes of getting it picked up for Season Three.

“We deeply appreciate the millions of fans who propelled the Halo series to be a global success, and we remain committed to broadening the Halo universe in different ways in the future,” said 343 Industries.

Of course, you always can soothe yourself with a few rounds of Halo Infinite, although even that online game is spinning down its content output in 2024.
