Over the weekend, Player First Games and Warner Bros. decided to pull the curtain back on MultiVersus Season 2, which is being headlined by two new roster additions in the form of Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice, who arrive today.
A newly released trailer focuses exclusively on the gameplay of Samurai Jack, a brawler-style character who utilizes his signature katana, swift footwork, and quick reflexes to bring the pain to opponents. The video also offered a peek at the character’s Righteous Warrior outfit that will be available for purchase when the season begins, while some keyart at the end offers visual confirmation of Beetlejuice’s arrival.
On top of the new characters, Season 2 will add a ranked mode to the fighter, which pits players in 1v1 or 2v2 combat to earn leaderboard points and unlock mode-exclusive cosmetics based on rank. Finally, the new season will introduce a new Water Tower map, which references the infamous WB water tower and many characters from WB’s past.
