Swanky.

While Boromir once famously said, “One does not simply log into Mordor,” that’s exactly what’s going to happen this Thursday. Standing Stone Games announced that Lord of the Rings Online’s two new legendary servers are going live on August 1st.

In addition to being the first progression servers in three years, Angmar and Mordor will offer special Nazgul world events, 64-bit server architecture, and even — in the case of Mordor — offer European players a shard located on their continent.

SSG is slightly staggering the rollouts: Mordor’s debut is scheduled for noon eastern, while Angmar should open its doors at 6:00 pm eastern on Thursday, August 1st. More details about the servers and their rulesets should be posted soon.
