If you’ve been buried in Gamescom news as we have been, you may also have missed that Amazon is rolling out a new video series for New World, specifically intended to help introduce console newbie players to the Aeternum revamp of the yes-still-an-MMORPG title – though of course it will reintroduce the game to PC gamers and lapsed fans too. In fact, Amazon admits it had previously issued parts of this series, but the studio says it “adjusted and expanded the series” to suit “community feedback,” so apparently we’re getting the revised episodes now.

“[W]e’re excited to unveil our new video series, Discovering Aeternum, with two new episodes publishing each week starting today through mid-December,” the studio says. “Split into three phases across 34 episodes, Discovering Aeternum will teach new players invaluable tips about how to Arrive, Survive, and Thrive in the harsh environments of Aeternum.”

We’ve got two episodes so far, both featuring NPC pirate queen Grace O’Malley explaining the very basics of the game world and setting. If the math is right here, we’ll be getting two more per week through December 11th, long past the Aeternum official launch date of October 15th.
