While Wayfinder fans on the PC got to enjoy (or at least, experience) the sweeping Echoes relaunch back in June, PlayStation 5 fans have been twiddling their thumbs waiting for the whole process to pass through Sony certification. Happily, this has happened, and the studio said that the update along with game sales should be coming to the PlayStation Store next week.
As the devs clarified, “With the Echoes Update, we made a pivot to a premium product with all micro transactions removed. There will not be a F2P version of Wayfinder.”
Additionally, Wayfinder will be releasing its Quality-of-Life Update 2 to both platforms at the same time. An Xbox version is still in the works, and the studio said that future content for the online RPG is depending on “how the 1.0 release goes.” The PlayStation 4 version, however, is slated to be discontinued at a future date.
