New World offers in-game loot for testing Aeternum next week – open beta preloading begins September 11

New week starting on September 13th, Amazon is finally opening up the Aeternum beta for all comers, both PC and console. But if you’ve already played New World on PC – or saw Aeternum during its console test – you might be wondering what exactly is in it for you to come test the MMORPG you already know about.

Well, how about some free stuff? In today’s dev blog, that’s exactly what Amazon is promising.

“Explore the Eternal Isle and level up your character during Open Beta to receive exclusive rewards like the Aeternian Adventurer skin when New World: Aeternum releases on October 15,” the studio says. “All rewards earned during Open Beta will only be available on the same platform. For example, if you played Open Beta and leveled up your character on PC, you will only receive the following rewards on PC.” Those rewards include a “trailblazer” title as well as a four-piece set of gloves, depending on how you level on a character during the event. (The cap is 30, but the last item is awarded at level 25.)

Do note that preloading for the open beta begins September 11th at noon EDT, and you don’t need anything special to join the beta at the same time on September 13th – just an account. Players will be able to test out Aeternum progression to level 30, plus arenas, mounts, the Amrine Excavation dungeon, factions, and open-world PvP.
