Vindictus revamped eight of its 25 playable characters in this week’s patch

I’m always surprised and pleased to see that Vindictus must still be making money as Nexon is still cranking out updates for the 14-year-old Mabinogi-spinoff MMO. The latest patch, which launched earlier this week, constitutes the first “utility improvement update” planned for the rest of the year.

“This character utility improvement consists of 8 characters, with improvements being made on aspects that felt unpleasant or unreasonable when playing as them,” Nexon says. “While one goal was to minimize changes to how each of these characters operate, there may be some less predictable changes in DPS performance, depending on what was altered. For now, we will keep the power of each skill the same while applying the changes below, but please understand that we may need to adjust the power level of some skills down the road.”

The patch notes clarify that Sylas, Lynn, Dan-Ah, Delia, Latiya, Letty, Evie, and Grimden are the eight characters on deck this round. The patch also touches on gold rewards in over a dozen dungeons.

Vindictus just updated with its 25th character, Sanyaa, last month; the devs say they’re still waiting for more data before tinkering with her. But that means a likely two more patches with eight toons apiece, if we’re guessing correctly.
