Over the past couple of weeks, Tarisland has been kicking out some pretty nutso lore posts about its upcoming Blight Dragon Elegy season, sharing tales involving gestating demon babies and giant magical arms falling from the sky. So where does the narrative go from here? Why, the backstories of the three bosses waiting inside of the Scarlet Frostwood dungeon, of course.
As with other dungeons in the MMORPG, the Scarlet Frostwood will house three big bads:
- Ice Giant Magnus, who apparently turned into an evil force because he saw two clan mates disappear and was told that being so empowered would spare his village from a calamity this magical disappearance would cause.
- Calder the Shadow Sage, who fell in love with a girl but was separated from her on their wedding night by a human attack and now vows revenge. Also he’s shadowy.
- And Selena the Ice Queen, aka Calder’s beloved, who transformed into a villain after she threw herself off of a cliff and was resurrected by a dark god who took advantage of her mistreatment at the hands of her father.
So basically the dungeon is made of three people turned into monsters because some evil whispery thing lied to them all. Tarisland’s lore certainly proves to be something else yet again.
