Again we’re back talking Amazon’s New World as the studio has this afternoon decided to lift the veil on the season pass that will launch alongside Aeternum and bring the game’s seasonal drought to an end. As expected, Season of Opportunity – the game’s sixth – will offer a two-tier system.
“The Season Pass gives players a variety of ways to earn new cosmetics, Transmog Tokens, Artifacts, and more,” the studio explains. “Highlights on the Premium Reward Track include: 1 Set of Seasonal Armor Skin (5 pieces), 9 Seasonal Weapon Skins, 3 Mount Attachments, and 2 Seasonal Emotes. Our Free Reward Track is available to all players and also contains unique cosmetic Items, while the Premium Reward Track offers the ability to earn extra rewards for 20,000 Marks of Fortune.”
We’re not going to copypasta the entire run-down of rewards here – literally, Amazon lists out every single award for every level for both the free and paid tracks – but there are a few takeaways to note.
First, you don’t automatically get the premium track just for buying Aeternum; it’s a separate purchase (with Marks of Fortune bought from the in-game store).
Second, it does work retroactively, meaning that if you grind out the free version partway and then buy the premium version, you get all the premium rewards up to that point all at once.
Third, the passes are region-locked, so your grind won’t transfer between regions if you decide to move.
And finally, while some of the rewards – like artifacts – do stick around in the game to be earned through normal gameplay, “some seasonal content will leave Aeternum once a specific season end.” In other words, play and grind wisely.
