Boxy MMO EverCraft Online dresses up for Halloween for its next weekend alpha October 18

For the past little while we’ve kept an eye on EverCraft Online, a boxy voxel-based MMORPG that seeks to bring the genre back to its roots, complete with all of the typical MMO trimmings. The title held a pre-alpha in April but now it’s looking to hold an alpha test this coming weekend – all while experimenting with a Halloween event.

“The Harvest Winds sweep across the land, bringing both bounty and bane. As the veil between worlds thins, whispers of Grixius, the God of Fear, echo through shadowed corners. Will you conquer your fears and reap the rewards of the season, or succumb to the encroaching darkness?”

This new alpha build will kick off the seasonal Whispers of Grixius event that tasks players with following ghosts, facing a fight against the titular aspect of fear, and collecting a special currency that can be traded for various goodies.

The new build will also feature all of the MMO’s classes except for the Bard along with several class affinities that follow some traditional archetypes like tank, DPS, healer, utility, and crowd control. Testing will run from Friday, October 18th, through Sunday, October 18th. Instructions on how to join await on the site.
