Tuesday, November 12th, brings the latest update to EVE Online, which naturally means that CCP Games is going to start shoveling out information about the Revenant expansion’s feature set, starting first with a look at the tools corporations will be getting to make them more efficient and look good while doing their thing.
Among the features Revenant is adding for corp-running players are an expansion of project parameters, the ability to set deadlines and participation limits for projects, and a ship insurance feature to let corp members fly different fleet vessels with less concern over those expensive boats being blown to smitheroons. The update will also let corp-made ship skins use a second pattern slot and provide a way for corp members to easily find a skin to better unify the fleet from a visual standpoint.
The Revenant update will further bring a new damage-over-time weapon, which prompted CCP to host a test yesterday that involved seeing how the MMO’s upcoming new damage application code works. Five participants were awarded 100 PLEX each for topping damage dealt to various hull sizes, and all mass test participants earned 20,000 EverMarks.
