We’re in the final month of 2024, so it’s pretty easy for us to say that Throne & Liberty is a shoo-in for the MMORPG most excited about a long, pointy stick’s arrival. Tomorrow, December 5th, will bring the new spear weapon into the game, and NCsoft and Amazon Games are marking the occasion with one of the hypest cinematic trailers possible.
According to the narration for this video, the spear isn’t any weapon; it’s a tool for the chosen, “a creation like no other,” and a weapon of war that sings in the right hands. Your hands. Luckily there is some gameplay footage on offer as well that showcases the spear in action; expect a lot of poking, slashing, and some close-range throwing of the weapon. All of this is to say that the spear showcase is very splashy, as seen below.
