While it might be hard to get into a festive mood given the studio-ending layoffs at Cryptic Studios and financial woes for megacorp owner Embracer, Neverwinter is regardless putting up its holiday decorations once again as it brings back Simril’s Winter Festival holiday event for another year.

This year’s affair once again features familiar activities like monster fights, ice fishing, and sled racing, along with daily missions that award an Auril’s Favor box that bundles in goodies from events past. There are also some new rewards to get from an event vendor including a new mount, new pet, new creepy companion, and a fluffy warm cosmetic outfit. The event runs from now until January 2nd.

The patch that brought in this event has also added several general updates, a few bug fixes, and the end of companions disqualifying players from earning the Squeaky Clean achievement when entering the Dread Sanctum.
