Palworld fans are getting their early Christmas present as promised today, as the critter catching survival sandbox has unleashed its massive Feybreak update, which introduces a new island to explore with lots of new goodies and new Pals to gather up.

Described by developer Pocketpair as the largest landmass added to the game, the titular Feybreak island offers up some new Pals, a new enemy faction known as the Feybreak Warriors, and two new materials in the form of chromite and hexolite quartz, the former of which must be found using items or Pals that can sense things that are hiding underground.

The update not only adds the new island but a bunch of other new enemies and mechanics as well, including an attack chopper boss, the ability to hunt for bounty targets, strong predator Pals that can be taken down for unique rewards, the ability to send Pals out on material-gathering expeditions, and several new buildings and weapons to craft.

Existing mechanic adjustments are also part of the update like more XP earnings overall for crafting or discovering new areas, a couple of new options for single-player and co-op servers, the ability to swap out foundation and wall materials without destroying existing buildings, changes to the amount of ammo that can be crafted, and some new abilities for several existing Pals, among other tweaks.

Last but not least, the very first part of a wider collaboration with Terraria in 2025 has arrived with Feybreak: the Meowmere sword weapon, which fires cat-faced projectiles at enemies with every swing. It’s an overall packed update that’s available for fans right now.
