One of the many features arriving to survival sandbox Once Human in 2025 is the Visional Wheel server set, which takes existing server modes and applies tweaks to their rules and mechanics. The first of these, Lunar Oracle, is arriving on January 16th, which means that NetEase’s Starry Studio has some information to hand out in order to get players prepared for the moon madness to come.
Lunar Oracle mode is all about surviving a blood moon that rises every night in-game, which slowly drains players of their sanity while also granting them more resources the lower their HP falls, including a new moon whispers resource that’s earned by killing enemies or taking part in events. Players affected by lunacy will also be able to see more oracle crates at outposts and more deviated plants in the wilderness, but ultimately they’ll have to make sure they navigate the more dangerous land at the same time; death will protect characters from lunacy but will also remove a number of moon whispers.
A follow-up post from Starry shared a few more details about the Visional Wheel: Lunar Oracle will run until sometime in mid-March, with two events occurring in February and March, and will add several new pieces of gear in the mode, including three new weapons, several new mods, and a new cradle. Starry also notes that hard mode scenarios will end when the Visional Wheel opens, while regular scenarios of each type will continue to be available.
