If you have been farming the Chaotic fight against the Cloud of Darkness in Final Fantasy XIV, you probably have had a much easier time getting Clouddark Demimateria I than Clouddark Demimateria II. While the latter is needed for only two items, it drops in quantities of one per clear (plus two for each full-time clear), and the items you buy with it cost 75 and 49 Clouddark Demimateria II. That’ll take a while, especially compared to the fact that the former drops two per clear and you will probably not need it long before your done farming for a mount and hair.
The good news is that developers have heard the feedback and there will be a way to exchange Clouddark Demimateria I for Clouddark Demimateria II starting in patch 7.16, which is scheduled to arrive soon. So it’s only a minor patch, but if you’ve been farming to get yourself the mount or hairstyle, you will soon be able to pick that up far more easily – assuming you can clear the fight consistently, anyway, but if you can’t manage that, then the slow rate of acquisition is hardly the only problem here.
