No to worry, ladies and gentlemen, your long Master x Master-less nightmare is almost over. The game has officially announced a full launch on June 21st, meaning that you log in, play the game, and… well, play the game. Sorry, there wasn’t really much more past that segue.
We also bid farewell to Crossout, which is now in an open beta/soft launch state that even the developers are calling soft launch. Fare thee well, Crossout, and may all enjoy your post-apocalyptic vehicular antics.
Other beta news ensuing in… now. Wow, the segue machine on this is just broken as heck.
- Curious about the OrbusVR Ranger? Well, you don’t have to be, there’s a whole preview of it right here. Also, you have remarkably specific curiosities, which isn’t a bad thing.
- Development is moving forward on The Repopulation under new ownership, which means there’s a big patch and the promise of more coming in the near future. Good news for fans of the title!
- The actual launch for real, we mean it, is fast approaching for Shroud of the Avatar, as it’s planning a 2017 launch timeframe. After that point, that’s it! It’s really launched, forever.
- Last but not least, Twilight Spirits is on the way to open beta on June 29th. It’s a game developed in China but meant specifically for Western sensibilities and sports a bullet time mechanic in fights, so that’s new.
So, that’s the story! Now you can just catch up with the rest of the stuff in the list down below and let us know if something slipped into a new test phase without us noticing down in the comments. You can also let us know about betas you’re enjoying. Please don’t share scone recipes with us down there, though.
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
