Considering that we’re staring down winter right now and we haven’t seen a great deal of movement on BioWare’s Anthem, there is cause for concern in regards to the promised February 22nd launch date. Is the game falling behind schedule? Is the studio allowing for wiggle room as it proceeds through the testing phases?
Responding to fears of delays and quality concerns, Anthem Executive Producer Mark Darrah confirmed that the scifi multiplayer shooter was still targeting its February launch.
“Our release date is February 22nd, 2019,” he tweeted. “Same as always.”
There are apparent rumors that BioWare is working on a version of the game for the so-far-unannounced PlayStation 5 and that Anthem is struggling to perform adequately. The game has already been delayed from 2018 to 2019, a move that set some fans on edge in anticipation of another shift.
