The latest release for Shroud of the Avatar is giving players the power to serve as GMs. Before you get too excited about this fact, you should be aware that it comes with notable restrictions; you can’t just kill things with a keystroke, the effects are temporary and meant for roleplaying events, and while you can summon a variety of monsters said monsters will not drop items or provide other rewards. Still, being able to run an event as a game master for four hours lets you change weather, resurrect players, and turn invisible as needed, and that’s just the start of your fun event-based powers!
Players who won’t be running events still get more updates, of course. The next phase of Lua integration has been rolled out, for example, and players can also look forward to polish being applied to story scenes. There are also new decorations, if you want to erect a statue to the krampus in your front lawn. Check out the full set of patch notes on the official site if you want to dive into the fine details of what’s been changed.
