What Are You Playing.
This is a metaphor for puberty in the middle ages and if you don’t understand that you clearly failed your English classes in high school. I’m not going to explain it to you.
Bonus question: What’s your favorite sort of flower?
Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Woof, since most of GDC “virtual” is just recorded and not actually virtual, I have a ton of work this weekend. However, I will take a quick walk in the park with Pokemon Go to get an idea of how they’re progressing with their park push event, and at least do some quick raids to ensure rewards in Orna.
I love carnivorous plants and succulents, but I’m pretty sure my favorites don’t flower in a traditional sense, so I’ll say prado red sunflowers. When I worked for a florist, I saw all kinds of cool, dyed sunflowers, but one time I saw some deep red ones and noticed the water was clear. Second place, most citrus blossoms, because they become fruit, mm.
Ben Griggs (@braxwolf): Star Trek Online. Still trying to figure out the bajillion progression systems available to my newly level-maxed captain.
I don’t think I’ve ever thought about having a favorite flower. Though, I think I’ll go with tulips simply because their early bloom is a symbol that the harsh Midwest winter has finally ended!
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’m flailing around in several things. I’ve got the last event of Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons to finish, I’ve got baking in Star Wars Galaxies Legends, and I want to resub to Lord of the Rings Online because I miss the heck out of it, but also I have been bizarrely hankering to play City of Heroes lately because it’s been a while. Which probably means I will get distracted and not do any of that.
To smell, carnations. To look at, peonies or succulents. To grow, anything that won’t die faster than hardware store mums the last week of fall. I’ll never be a real gardener, but we had good success with flowers last year. I just ordered some Chabaud Jeanne Dionis carnation seeds to experiment with this year.
Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): New Kirby game. That’s it. That’s the reply. Maybe some Star Trek Online or a driving game of some sort, but realistically, it’ll be Kirby.
I’m going for husband brownie points here and say my favorite flower is the daffodil, the national flower of Wales.
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Probably more of the last game I had to review because it turns out that game totally flipping rules and I love it. It’s great. So, uh, look forward to that! Maybe some of my Steam backlog.
I have nothing but fond associations with hyacinths and I love how they look. Close runner-up are the tiger lilies my grandmother used to grow.
Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): Right now I’m powering my Minstrel through Moria on Lord of the Rings Online’s Treebeard server. Want to see how fast I can blast through it (pretty fast, as it turns out). Apart from that, I’m doing some Eveningstar quest chains in Dungeons & Dragons Online and working through The Elder Scrolls Online’s Blackwood main story.
Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I am going to wrap up the current No Man’s Sky Expedition. I have seen a lot of hate for it in some of the groups I am in, but I have been digging it. I may also try Lost Ark. I have enjoyed action games more in recent years and I see that some of my friends who aren’t playing Elden Ring are playing Lost Ark.
Sam Kash (@thesamkash): I should have some time to get into Guild Wars 2. I think I’m very close to the end of the saga so hopefully I’ll even be able to play a little EOD.
Bonus: I’m a simple guy, I like roses. They look nice and smell nice.
Tyler Edwards (blog): I’ll probably continue my slow-poke journey through Lost Ark. Getting close to level 50, but at the current rate it could still be a while before I actually see endgame.
Bonus question: WHAT’S THE STORY, MORNING GLORY? No, seriously, it is morning glories, though.
