The Daily Grind: What’s your most recent screw-up in an MMORPG?

Last weekend, I logged into SWG Legends after good long while of playing other MMOs. I knew I’d been neglecting my vendors (sorry, shoppers!), so I had to scramble to get them at least back online, though not stocked (sorry again!). But what I wasn’t expecting is that I’d hit the currency cap and lost a huge chunk of income.

I usually make money at a pretty steady pace on my vendors, so I know when I need to log in and move money off my main character to alts before I’m anywhere near the cap. But I screwed up this time, and the last couple of months on Legends were a lot more popular than I expected (which is not a bad thing!), so basically, any time somebody bought off my vendors after I hit the cap, that money just went out into the void, never to be reclaimed. Poof!

Oddly, I wasn’t really all that upset about it. Clearly, I have too much money over there anyway, and I’ve run out of useful things to do with it – pretend money on a rogue server wasn’t really the reason I crafted anyhow. I was more upset about screwing up something so dumb than actually losing the money.
