The Steam Next Fest is kicking off today, February 5th, and it looks as if many developing MMOs and multiplayer games are eager to get in on the virtual demo floor. Among those is Trimurti Online, the “oriental fantasy MMO” that we’ve been reporting on since last September, which will be offering a demo version of the game during the length of the showcase between now and February 12th.
Content available during this demo build of the MMO isn’t specified, but it does appear that it will be functionally different from earlier builds, as those who were in previous closed tests will have their access revoked and will have to download the demo client to play again. However, character progress from the demo will carry over when Trimurti begins its open beta immediately following Steam Next Fest on Tuesday, February 13th. Demo players will also be handed a bunch of free in-game items like self-resurrection items, buff items, a teleport scroll, and some fireworks.
As for the demo version, there are already patch notes online that outline a lengthy list of bug fixes, though players are being warned that the demo may still have bugs in it as well; those who do run into problems are asked to file bug reports to help the developing title improve.
