If you have been waiting for cozy mini-MMO Palia to come to Steam – as I have – then your wait is over today, as today the game makes it official debut on Valve’s platform. Good news, folks: You pulled off the Frogbert plush challenge.

“Today, Singularity 6’s cozy community sim Palia arrives on Steam. New and returning players can now download Palia for free via the game’s Steam store page,” S6 says. “The Steam community showed up in a kaiju-sized way to add Palia to their Wishlists. As a reward, players on all supported platforms will have 30 days from today to redeem the giant in-game Frogbert plushie that has grown five times its original size.

Heads-up that MegaFrogbert will also apparently tie in to the game’s planned April Fools’ day festivities next week.

The Steam launch arrives in conjunction with the promised patch, which adds new decor, controller rebinding, wedding outfits, improved gardening, and new content in the form of Temple of the Roots.

We do have to keep noting this: Palia has been in open beta since August and has never announced a full release or departure from said beta, but the launch on Steam today is not flagged beta or early access. The game’s website, Switch page, and EGS page do not refer to the game’s pre-launch testing status; the patch number of 0.178 (and our own accounting and memory) is all that gives it away.
