The Gold Road DLC introduces the zone of the West Weald, the new scribing system that lets players craft unique spells, new group activities in the form of the 12-player Lucent Citadel trial and Mirrormoor Incursions that spring up across West Weald, and the expected addition of new items, armor sets, and achievements, as well as all-new skill styles that let players change the colors for weapon, guild, and world abilities.
As for the free-to-all Update 42, that primarily brings quality-of-life adjustments to the in-game mail system, adds a new healing immunity state for health bars, introduces character resolution graphical options, applies several new achievements, and now features a reduction of guild trade timers from 30 days to 14 days.
