Path of Exile projects a late July release for its next expansion on PC and console

Sure, Path of Exile players are likely continuing to dig through the Necropolis league, but very soon they will have to look ahead to the next league and expansion, as Grinding Gear Games has set a rough timeline for 3.25’s release.

The studio expects the new expansion to arrive sometime in late July, with a simultaneous release for both PC and console players once again. More information about this next expansio-league will be shared during the next GGG Live broadcast for sometime in mid-July, but for the time being there’s roughly a couple of months’ more of playing with corpses in the OARPG.

Tangentially, there’s an interesting new blog post from Belghast that ponders whether the Necropolis league was bad, actually. The post considers player concurrency, league mechanics, and overall updates for what amounts to the sort of super-focused analysis one usually expects out of OARPG fans.
