Players in Embers Adrift have long wanted a Monolith in Newhaven City. (It’s a specific game structure, not the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, although that might be neat too.) The designers liked the idea, but it should be a little different from ones in the wild. How to square that? Well, enter the new Ley Pylon added with the most recent patch. Getting it fired up is a minor event in the city that will require a bunch of player effort, and it stays up a few days providing a boost to travel. So it’s a nice buff, but you have to work to get it active.
The patch also fixes the visual effect placement for dealing damage to creatures, as well as smoothing out progression for the gathering profession based on the presence of certain nodes. Check out the full patch notes here, which also include bug fixes and improvements to the game’s overall experience.
