Monsters & Memories is running another open stress test this weekend

Clear your Saturday, old-school MMOers, because throwback sandbox MMORPG Monsters & Memories is plotting yet another stress test, open to all comers. The event begins Saturday, August 10th, at 1 p.m. EDT – just remember it’s a real stress-test, so actual bugs are inevitable. That’s what you’re testing.

“We’ll all cram into one server to start the test,” Niche Worlds Cult says. “If and when we get the data we need, we will open up the rest of the servers for an extended playtest. (Estimated 12-24 hours). The sooner we get the data we need, the sooner the other servers will come up, so please participate in the Stress Test phase! If we run into stability issues, we may patch the game or, if absolutely necessary, end the playtest (with the hope of running another in the coming days or weeks after).”

Would-be players can RSVP and grab the patcher from Discord, and you’ll be far from alone: The last round of stress-testing for the in-development MMO saw over 4000 testers – and 21K deaths.
