Considering overall trends in the sub-genre, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the isometric squad-based battle royale shooter Supervive would be moving into a world where most people are set in their favorites and not eager to pull up stakes. That doesn’t seem to be the case with this one, however, as the open beta that kicked off last week appears to be gaining some positive following.
As of this writing, Supervive has hit an all-time peak of over 47K players on Steam, with what looks to be an average of about 35K over the past few days; there’s over 24K players in-game now on a Monday morning as we type this.
The good vibes appear to continue on in the user reviews as well, with a “very positive” aggregate currently. Many gamers call Supervive a better version of Battlerite, laud its intuitive and approachable gameplay, and celebrate its satisfying progression. One review even likes the game enough despite its “scummy” monetization, writing, “This game is NOT worth your money, but it is worth your time.” And speaking of monetization, there’s a trailer showcasing cosmetics for your window shopping pleasure. Meow meow meow.
