We hope you’re not too super attached to your vampire’s build in V Rising in terms of stats. That’s because a major rework is on the horizon for update 1.1, which will apply various adjustments to how enemy blood, gear, spells, and even the stats themselves affect your neck-nibbling survival ghoul.
First, stats will all have soft and hard caps, which players will be able to track via UI elements that show when limits are being reached or exceeded. Stunlock Studios says this change will open up build diversity while not sacrificing overall effectiveness or making players feel like they have to build their character around specific gear.
In terms of gear changes, that will include a balancing and “equalizing” of gear set bonuses, with easier-to-read UI elements to know when characters are reaching caps, as well as the addition of random stat rolls for unique weapons, which can be further helped out via the upcoming fusion forge.
Other things that can affect stats include the upcoming new elixirs that can temporarily boost specific stats, an overhaul of blood type effects as well as a new blood mixer crafting station that lets players adjust blood benefits, and new passive abilities learned through earning spell points. Stunlock also teases a “third, less statistic-related addition that will mix up the gameplay even more,” but plans to outline that system later.
As usual, the studio is keeping when any of these adjustments or when update 1.1 will arrive close to the vest, so there’s still possibly months before things change. Just know that things will definitely change.
