It first issued this statement to Eurogamer:
We've supported VR for a few years now, and Elite Dangerous is arguably...
Firefall’s update is live and servers are up, but old characters are still offline
The most recent Firefall patch faced some pretty significant downtime due to issues with its implementation; players were updated on the state of the patch yesterday with a full rundown of the technical issues facing the team. The good news is that as of this morning, the game's servers are online and the patch is running. Bad news? Existing...
The Daily Grind: Do MMO graphics influence your immersion?
This past week, in the hubub surrounding Smed's new OARPG, Hero's Song, we interviewed bestselling author Patrick Rothfuss, who's building the lore of the game's world. I asked Rothfuss about storytelling immersion in 2-D vs. 3-D worlds, and he argued, quite vehemently, that graphics have nothing to do with immersion. "The truth is, storytelling becomes more immersive and more inclusive...
Massively Overthinking: The MMO dev brains we’d like to pick
This week's Overthinking question comes to us from longtime Patron Roger.
"If you guys could magically open a connection to any dev team, which team would it be? I'll assume this power includes their answering you as well."

Over at Crowfall, the subject is once again swinging back to the eternal kingdoms, the game's housing-cum-private world. ArtCraft posted a new 13-point FAQ to explain how players will be constructing their eternal kingdoms via the parcel builder tool.
The idea here is that players will piece together their kingdoms with the builder like building a puzzle, then shape each...

Blizzard has delayed the return of Overwatch's beta, according to a post on the official forums today.
Game Director Jeff Kaplan says that the tentatively planned resumption date of mid-to-late January isn't happening because the team isn't ready and wants to add "one more big feature to the next beta patch":
"After looking through all of the feedback from last year,...
PvE finally comes to HEX next week
For the longest time, PvE seemed like it would never arrive in the beleaguered HEX -- so much so that it became a running joke of sorts. Well, it's time to put that joke to bed, because HEX announced that it will be coming out with the first installment of its PvE game next week.
