Sea of Thieves’ 11th season is live, shaking up the classic sailing gameplay loop

Sea of Thieves 11th season of play officially went live yesterday, bringing a major revamp to the core voyage game loop. “Rather than having to return to an Outpost to buy new Voyages from the Trading Companies, you’ll now be able to access all available Voyages and Tall Tales directly from your ship,” Rare explains. Players now check out activities and voyages tailored to their character’s progression in the Discover tab, then immediately dive to quick-travel to the content – or just sail the old-fashioned way to score better loot and challenge.

The season also tweaks reputation access, expands trading companies, adds raid voyages, and updates the onboard experience for newbies “with new in-game tutorials featuring the Pirate Lord, removing some of the hurdles for newer players seeking to get to grips with life on the seas.”
