But with this game, on try #28, there should be a pile of 27 previous “vessels” filling in that one failed jump that you can just waltz right over.

Samizdat That was the gist of one of the Halloween (then permanent) PvP matches for Champions Online.  You have to hold out against waves of zombies, when you die you join the zombies in killing the survivors.  Has been in that game for must be nearly 5+ years now.

Sounds interesting, can’t wait to hear more and see how they flesh it all out. Still don’t think they will be able to make huge battles happen with Unity though, we will see.

There are some cool ideas in there, and I’d like to see it fleshed out with the various General, Archetype, and Promotion Class skill trees.  

My concern is that I think you’re either loading up the General pool with all the crafting and basic combat that would be cross-class, which would make General training very bottlenecked, or you’d have so many useful vessel skills spread across the various classes such that VIP accounts would have a bigger advantage than expected.
Overall really like the concept, but it seems like a big change that needs a fleshed out series of systems with it
