RuneScape opens the Daemonheim Archaeology site, Old School RuneScape readies a mobile UI beta

Sure, a location known as Daemonheim is probably a dangerous place for archaeologists to go sniffing around, but do you really think that will stop players who are following the Archaeology skill line in RuneScape? Almost certainly not, particularly since this new dig site is the highlight of the MMORPG’s update this week.

The new Archaeology location has plenty of enticing goodies including two level brackets’ worth of excavation locations, two new skilling off-hand items for both Archaeology and Hunter, new relic power, and new mysteries, collections, and artifacts.

As the name suggests, this new area is located near Daemonheim and also promises a dig into someplace known as the Warped Depths. So, you know, totally normal science going on. In addition to the new Archaeology location, this week’s patch is mostly about fixing bugs with visuals and general gameplay.

Meanwhile in Old School RuneScape, Jagex is preparing a new mobile UI beta test for tomorrow, June 13th, for three days. UI updates include a better chat box, a popout bar, a tweaked minimap, and a better side stones window. As for the MMORPG’s update this week, it’s specifically focused on miscellaneous changes to certain items and enemies along with a few bug fixes.
