Lost Ark’s Summer Heat update couldn’t be more appropriate where I am right now under the heat dome in the Northeast US, but fortunately for MMO players, the game’s heat is the fun kind, and the patch is in as of this morning. As Amazon has previously teased, the central endgame content of this update is the Echidna Kazeros raid.
“This is an 8-player Raid with 2 gates featuring new enemies and mechanics,” Amazon says. “The main enemy is Echidna, who was the Covetous Legion Commander long before Vykas came to power. […] You’ll be able to challenge Echidna in Normal Mode at Item Level 1620 or in Hard Mode at Item Level 1630. This raid introduces a new mechanic, Allied Forces Skills (a new twist on Sidereal Skills from Legion Raids) where the raid leader can call in a variety of allied NPCs to aid their party in combat.”
Of course, the patch also rolls out the new advanced honing gear-upgrading system, gobs of content on the South Kurzan continent, the Return of the Dragon Chaos Assault content, new skins, season 5 of Competitive Proving Grounds PvP, a huge class balancing round, and the new Ark Pass (the last bit coming June 26th).
